![]() ![]() So i plan to make do for now till i can afford a new planetary capable device. It has been a while since i last captured such images and the hardware and software i used back then no longer works in Windows 10 nor do i have it anyway. I figure capturing in AVI will allow me to get enough good shots that i can combine them to really good photo. It can read them and write them but not capture in them. An AVI file capture would be preferred but this software can't capture in video formats. I have a copy of MaximDL which probably COULD take a series of snapshots but i am not certain it can do so quickly enough. However i am looking for recommendations as to what you all use for this kind of photography. I don't have a lot of $$$ so free to use or cheap would be good. I am looking for something i can use to capture a lot of images with quickly, probably with the Orion camera, as either a lot of fast photos or an AVI file i can split into photos. Remote imaging software For calculating all things related to CCD imaging (FOV/pixel size/etc) AstroImager is a powerful, but easy to use image capture application for the astrophotography. I have two cameras i can do this with: a DSLR and an Orion Starshoot (not the guide camera, the original Starshoot small chip, cooled CCD camera). free planetary stacker (OSx) control your digi cam Free sequence capture control for Mac/PC + lots of DSLRs.
